Why
It's Different Here I believe in honest, no surprise, up-front pricing. To prevent surprises, in most cases I charge a flat rate instead of by the hour. You will know what you are getting and how much you are paying for it in advance. All work is done under contract.
I do not charge "maintenance" fees for websites. Some places charge a monthly fee that you have to pay after your website design is complete. If you add the cost of that fee up over time - which may be years - you will find out that you are paying a great amount of money for maintenance that you paid for but never used.
At Second Wave Studio, once you have paid for the design of you website, it is yours. After that, you can have changes made to your website any time you'd like, but you will pay only for the changes that are actually made which is much more fair to you.
You may elect to make payments over time. Payment terms and amounts are made and agreed to on a case by case basis. In most cases though, half of the project total is paid when the contract is signed and your project begins. The second half is due when the project is complete.
Second Wave Studio currently accepts checks and credit card payments made through secure online payment systems.
This price list will give you a general idea of the cost of Website Design and Graphic Design by Second Wave Studio. Prices may vary based on individual needs. This price list is subject to change without notice.

If you should need more than 5 pages in your website, additional pages can be added for $150 per page.
Additional email addresses can be added for a one time fee of $5 for each address. After the first 6 months, you will be charged our regular rate for website hosting.
Basic Search Engine Optimization is now included with all new website design at no extra cost. This includes keyword placement, Meta tags, Alt tags, and robot text. For more advanced SEO needs such as keyword research, submission to search engines and SEO reporting please see the Advanced Search Engine Optimization and Submission section below.
Pricing for other additional features is shown below.
NOTE: Some features such as email and 6 months of free hosting hosting are only included if your website is hosted on the Second Wave Studio server. It may be possible to host your website elsewhere if you choose to do so, however the price of the design will remain the same.
Basic SEO which is already included in the cost of design may be all that your website needs, however you might have the need for more advanced optimization.
Advanced SEO includes all of the features of basic SEO, but includes research and development relevant keywords, relevant reciprocal links will be added to your site for link popularity purposes (if available) and submittal to a number of search engines. You will receive progress reports of your websites rankings. Websites are monitored and adjustments are made as needed for maximum results.

IMPORTANT: I do not accept all requests for Search Engine Optimization. If I feel that I cannot achieve desirable results for your keywords, I will not take on the SEO portion of your project.
This service is billed in 6 month increments. If you choose to continue Search Optimization Services from Second Wave Studio you will be charged $500 for each additional 6 month term.
Search Engine Optimization services by Second Wave Studio are only available for websites that I have designed or redesigned.
Custom designed website with a secure shopping cart system built in so that your customers can buy your products online. Includes 5 regular pages plus unlimited product pages. E-commerce includes a fully customized database driven shopping cart with complete inventory control tools, shipping tools and more! Secure administration area and checkout system with Paypal and real-time USPS shipping calculation are included. After your website is built, you enter all of your inventory and run the store yourself. Complete instructions are included.
Galleries are needed in many situations where your client must see a lot of photographs. Common uses are for home builders, photographers, family websites and others that would need a number of photographs to be indexed and viewable both as a thumbnail and as a larger image.
Pricing will vary depending on how many photographs are included and how elaborate the gallery is.
Add a searchable and interactive database to your website to list homes, land and other realty for sale or rent. Add your own listings and photographs whenever you have access to the internet! Visitors to your site can search for the property that they want using criteria that you desire, save their searches, save their favorite properties and more!
Custom designed website includes 5 regular pages plus online searchable database with unlimited property listings. Can be connected with MLS for an additional fee.
Add pages to any website designed by Second Wave Studio for $150.00 per page. Pages must be added at time of original design.
If you have a newsletter that you send out using email, or if you want for your customers to be able to sign up to receive periodic news, information, sales or specials, this tool will add a feature to allow customers to opt in (or out of) your email list by signing up on your website. Use a single page that users can sign up from, or put a small form on one or all pages of your site.
You will use a password protected area of your website to access an easy to use interface which will allow you to track names on your list, store previously sent emails, choose to use or not use email confirmation during sign-up, schedule mailings, send messages as plain text or HTML, manage members, archive messages and more! Basic Interactive Forms start at $150, however if your form is lengthy or needs additional features the price could go up. An estimate will be given in advance based on the scope of your project.
